Global History Collaborative - 東京カレッジ

Global History Collaborative

Our main purpose is to act as an intellectual hub for scholars based within the University of Tokyo interested in global history and invite speakers from around the world to share their cutting-edge research to engender scholarly conversations. It has an ambitious objective of turning the Global History Collaborative as one of the significant sites for global historians around the world. The project interprets global history expansively including interdisciplinary approaches to global history, epistemological explorations, and experimental topics, for instance.

On 9 October 2025, the Global History Collaborative Workshop 2025 will be held on ‘Hidden Geographies of Global History’ organised by Naoko Shimazu, Michael Facius, and Lucy Riall (National Museum of Ethnology/European University Institute).
