Book Publication Announcement: Dongjing Zhaji 2020 (‘Essays on Life in Tokyo 2020’) by Professor GE Zhaoguang

Professor GE Zhaoguang (Fudan University), who stayed at Tokyo College from January to August 2020, has published “Dongjing Zhaji 2020” (‘Essays on Life in Tokyo 2020’) (see publisher’s page). This work is a collection of essays on Professor GE’s readings and interactions during his stay at the College, which unintentionally coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic. The essays contain his frank impressions of many Japanese language books he read during this period, as well as his discussions with scholars at Tokyo College research gatherings and other such events. This collection is both interesting and intellectually stimulating, and we highly recommend giving it a read.
