Redefining Leadership: Voices of Women Across Tokyo Campuses

Abstract: What does it mean to be a "women leader" in Japan today? Female undergraduate students attending universities in Tokyo will gather on a panel and talk about leadership based on their own experiences. How have their cultural and social backgrounds supported or hindered their growth? Through sharing each of their own journeys, they will rethink leadership possibilities.

After the panel discussion, a participatory workshop will be held. While exchanging thoughts in small groups, audience members will be invited to reconsider "what is leadership" and explore what kinds of leaders they can build within themselves and those around them.
