Emergency Contact System
1. What to do if a Tokyo College member encounters a fire, accident, or some other incident (including on campus, off campus, or in one’s private life):
*Please refer to this file for information on phone numbers for emergency services and who to contact on the Tokyo College team.
First, contact the police station, fire department, or emergency services in your area. If you have difficulty contacting them due to language barriers or other issues, please contact the Tokyo College team.
If you encounter an emergency on campus or during a business trip, you must contact the Tokyo College team. If one occurs off campus or in your private life, you may contact the Tokyo College team depending on the situation.
2. What to do in the event of an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 5+ or greater or a major tsunami warning in the prefecture where you work or live
(Earthquake) Please follow the guidelines for the initial actions to take during an earthquake. (Remain still while the shaking is ongoing, ensure your safety, and move to the evacuation site once the shaking has subsided.)
(Major Tsunami) Evacuate to higher ground and ensure your safety.
Afterwards, you will receive a safety confirmation email from the University of Tokyo's Safety Confirmation Service, so please respond with your current status.

3.What to do in the event of an emergency other than those described in 2. above
The Tokyo College team will send you a safety confirmation email in the event of any of the following events, so please be sure to respond with your status.
- If UTokyo’s Crisis Management Team requests the submission of a “disaster report” (e.g., following a typhoon, earthquake, etc.)
- If a warning or evacuation order is issued in the Tokyo metropolitan area due to a major disaster, accident, or emergency
- If you are on a business trip (outside the metropolitan area) in an area where a major disaster, accident, or emergency occurs
- Other situations where the director of Tokyo College determines that urgent confirmation of the status of members is necessary.

Evacuation Plan
In the event of an emergency while you are in Administration Bureau Bldg No. 2, please evacuate the building according to the evacuation plan.
Safety Confirmation Service
The University of Tokyo has a safety confirmation service as one of its communication tools for quickly confirming the safety of its members in the event of a major disaster, such as a large earthquake.
