Research Funds from Tokyo College
１. Tokyo College Fund for Researchers
Tokyo College provides individual research funds (“Tokyo College Fund for Researchers”) to affiliated researchers. The amount of this funding is specified in the offer letter. (For example, postdoctoral fellows are allotted 1,000,000 JPY/year.)
- These funds may be used from the date of employment, and the same amount will be added to your balance each year on the same date.
- Any remaining balance will carry over to the following year and will continue to be paid out as long as you remain with TC.
- TC accounting staff will email you periodically to inform you of the remaining balance, so please keep track of the amount available.
２．Tokyo College Fund for Collaborative Projects
Tokyo College provides funding for collaborative projects up to 1,000,000 JPY/year.
- Registration is required for new projects and for projects continuing for more than one fiscal year. For more information, please see the page on Collaborative Projects.
- Unused funds do not carry over to the next year.
- Please obtain approval from the project representative and other members of the project before using funds. TC accounting staff will email you periodically to inform you of the remaining balance, so please keep track of the amount available.
３．Tokyo College Fund (as an organization)
Research and events conducted by Tokyo College as a whole are funded from the overall budget.
(Note) When leaving Tokyo College (or when a collaborative project is completed), electronics (including personal computers and monitors) and any items surpassing a certain value that were purchased using either Tokyo College funds or external funds must remain with Tokyo College. For more information, please consult accounting.
