Seminar Held with the UK Government’s Chief Scientific Adviser (Report)

On Thursday, October 2, Tokyo College held a panel discussion with the cooperation of the British Embassy in Tokyo, and welcomed Professor Dame Angela McLean DBE FRS, the UK Government Chief Scientific Adviser, as the keynote speaker.

Following her lecture titled “Early-career Researchers and the Benefits of International Collaboration,” an engaging Q&A session took place between Professor Naoko Shimazu (Deputy Director, Tokyo College, The University of Tokyo), Professor Hiromi Yokoyama (Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe, The University of Tokyo), Professor Dame Julia Black (CST Member, Warden of Nuffield College, University of Oxford), and participating early-career researchers.
