Postdoctoral Fellow Jesse RAFEIRO's article "Digital documentation and dissemination of the Via Crucis of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Arrábida, Portugal" has been published in Digital Applications in Archaeology and Cultural Heritage, Volume 37, June 2025, e00421.

Abstract
This research documents and digitally reconstructs seven chapels of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Arrábida in Portugal, once used in Via Crucis processions from the 16th to 19th centuries. Using Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM), it creates as-found condition models for conservation purposes and virtually reimagines the Via Crucis route based on historical sources. The project aims to deepen understanding of the convent's spiritual legacy and support a virtual experience that enhances visitor engagement and connects with ongoing religious traditions.
