上海師範大学日本史中国史准教授。複雑な権力関係が交差する場所に位置する東アジアにおける近代的知識のトランスナショナルな生産について研究している。また、現代中国における国家中心の歴史学について批判的に考察するアンソロジーAlternative Representation of the Past: The Politics of History in Modern China (2020)を共同編集している。現在、2冊の本の執筆に取り組んでいる。一つは、19世紀末から20世紀初頭、中国が帝国から国民国家へ変化する過程における日本の知識の影響を探求するものである。もう一つは、20世紀から21世紀にかけての東アジアにおける漢字（書写）と漢文のポリティクスを検証するアンソロジーである。
